Intel’s “Upgrade Your Life”: The Content Managers

Recently I had the opportunity to attend an exceptional event at Intel’s Santa Clara campus. “Upgrade Your Life” was designed to introduce eleven content managers - bloggers, authors, online media folks - to Intel’s innovative technologies, its latest mobile gadgets, and its global contributions to eco-tech and education. While I’ll cover all of those subjects in subsequent posts, first I’d like to introduce you to some of the other attendees.

Sarah Anderson: As TechMom at ComputerShopper.com, Anderson blogs about “parenting, technology, work and play”. Recent posts include the “TechMom Top 10: Mother’s Day Tech-Tasks Wish List”, “GPS and Phones: A Good Mix For Your Kids?” and “Weighing In on Della”.

Beth Blecherman: Blecherman is a techie, a blogger, authority speaker and social media consultant. This woman has accomplished so much it’s just faster to read her bio than list everything here. Be sure to check out her recent adventures aboard the USS Nimitz!

Gina Hughes:  Looking for the word on the latest gadgets? Check out Techie Diva’s Guide to Gadgets and get breaking news, reviews and video about smartphones, cameras, notebooks, headsets…you get the idea!

Erin Kane: Kane is one of the Manic Mommies. Along with her partner-in-crime, Kristin Brandt, Kane brings “tips, product reviews, guest interviews and practical advice to moms trying to manage the madness” via a weekly podcast.

Mia Kim: Kim is the founder of Popgadget. This site has one of the best “About” summaries I’ve ever seen:

“Popgadget is a lifestyle magazine that embraces technology as a regular and essential part of women’s lives. We cover topics traditionally seen in women’s magazines…But if you’re looking for a bikini-clad model straddling a Power Mac G5, you won’t see it here.”

Doesn’t that just sum it up? For those of you who want the goods, but without the obligatory pulp, check out Popgadget.

More on the other attendees in another post. In the meantime, check out these blogs and read what you’ve been missing!
