Maya Beiser Puts Her Mark On “Kashmir”
Thanks to Gator, I’m happy to share a little tidbit for band geeks and Zeppelin fans alike!
Check out this link to cellist Maya Beiser’s interpretation of Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir. Last week, the Boston Globe posted a piece about Beiser and her appreciation for a broad range of musical categories.
Now, if only she would add “Immigrant Song” to her list of songs-to-transform-next…

Amazing!!
thanks for the post. I actually wonder if Maya Beiser will do some more covers. I have been following her work for years and she never stops to surprise. What a great artist and a great piece.

Is “Kashmir” included on any of Maya’s CDs?

@Penni: Thanks for reading! I agree that it would be great to hear more of Beiser’s interpretation of some popular classic, though this piece has actually led me to searching for her more standard work.
@Robert: I looked (and looked, and looked) and couldn’t find it, so I assume not.
