Linux Pro’s ROSE Gives Verdict On SCALE
Rikki Kite gets all the cool gigs, but that’s how one rolls when one is a Managing Editor of one of the best Linux mags around.
This time, the cool gig was a trip to the Women in Open Source conference, a pre-cursor to SCALE 7x, the Southern California Linux Expo, held just a few days ago in Los Angeles, CA.
The list of women who are talented hackers, sysadmins, programmers and business owners in the Free Open Source Software realm grows every year, and this year’s sample included Cathy Malmrose (Zareason), Dru Lavigne (BSD guru), Danese Cooper (Sun Microsystems, Intel) and Rikki Kite herself.
Kite posted a summary of the day’s events on her ROSE blog over at Linux Pro Magazine. Take a peek and see what you missed. I’m inspired enough to make sure I attend next year!

Thanks for the shout out! I’ll plan on seeing you at SCALE 8x (and hopefully a few events before then, too).

We’d love to have you out next year. We’re still working on the dates but expect it to be sometime in Feb 2010.
