Wise-Women: For Programmers, Developers and Web Designers

Over on the ROSE blog at Linux-magazine.com, Rikki Kite points the way to the Wise-Women.org site. Wise-Women is an international “online community of web designers, developers and programmers” dedicated to sharing their knowledge with other web professionals or folks who’d like to get into the field.

The Wise-Women site includes detailed articles and tutorials about many aspects of web development, and also features interviews and a heck of a book recommendation list.

While membership isn’t required in order to utilize the tutorials, it is necessary if you want to post a profile or participate actively in the site’s mission.

Check out Wise-Women. Right away, you’ll notice some familiar names, including BlogHer’s Virginia DeBolt. And if you’ve got the chops to chip in, consider joining!
