Ubergeeke’s Project Status
While the project updates have been sparse, the projects themselves have managed some progress!
File server build: After some extended challenges with drive formatting, I finally switched motherboards and upgraded my IDE cable from 40-pin to 80-pin. As a result, the openSUSE 11.0 installation went seamlessly. I’ve added a PCI card that includes two IDE connections, but haven’t had any luck getting a DVD recognized by the BIOS. Resolving that issue, however, isn’t as important to me as getting the file and print sharing setup. I’m reading up on Webmin at the recommendation of another Linux geek (thanks, Shawn!) and hope to get that software configured later this week.
Arduino audio: my Arduino installation is hung up at the moment, and it looks to be a permissions issue.
Amateur rocket magnetometer: this project got usurped by someone with more time to give it the attention it deserved *but* this week is a major regroup week for PSAS, so I’ll have more project data on Tuesday.
That’s it for the moment! I’ll have more news in the coming days.
