Continuing in this week’s apparent do-it-your-damned-self theme, let me introduce you to another DIY site. This one, Be Jane, is by and for women, and details a broad range of projects, though sadly, no appliance repair for you “fix your own washer” folks.

Be Jane has apparently been around for quite awhile, and has the goal of “giving women the confidence to change their homes, the motivation to enhance their lives, and the inspiration to improve the world around them”. The Janes have built quite a network of experts, have active message boards on a wide selection of topics, and have a periodic “Featured Jane” to highlight success stories.

If you’re looking for step-by-step directions on how to perform some home improvement task, this site should be your first stop. And make sure to give ‘em a little feedback!
