Geek Monthly Actually Geeky!
“Geek Monthly” is one of those mags that I forget to pick up when I’m at the bookstore. Most of my discretionary cash is blown on Linux rags and hardware mags, as well as the occasional comic, so I forget that there’s a monthly covering a broad range of geeky topics for me to check out between hacking sessions.
In the October issue, don’t miss:
- the interviews with “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” actress, Felicia Day, and mumblecore actress as well as screenwriter/playwright, Greta Gerwig.
- best weapons of SciFi
- the books of edgy science fiction author, Richard K. Morgan.
Here’s a few also-rans for commuters looking for quick articles to read:
- a review of Dungeons & Dragons Fourth Edition release
- shiny pics of the new Chevy Volt (!)
- why Space Ghost needs a little more respect (don’t make me push my arm buttons!)
In fact, this issue is so damn packed with geeky stuff, I haven’t had a chance to read every last page. Too much! Then again, this issue did remind me to Netflix “Starship Troopers II” and “III”, so there’s another point in its favor. (Psst! Geek Monthly folks! Please, please, for the last time, *update the About page on your blog*!!)
Grab “Geek Monthly” at your favorite bookstore or newstand.
