September Spectrum Is A Must-Read
It’s no secret that I greatly look forward to finding the IEEE’s Spectrum in my mailbox. I’ll admit that my first task - unless the cover article grabs me by the collar and shakes me smartly - is to flip through page by page until I find what women have contributed to the monthly tech magazine. (Hey, what can I say; it’s turned into something of a job.)
Amidst the larger high profile articles about Spore’s creators and Palm’s commander-in-chief, this month’s contributors include Susan Karlin, whose article “Extremist Engineers” highlights an interesting study that has received no small bit of backlash.
This is another great issue. (Minor beef: get rid of the glued-in inserts! The adhesive screws up the magazine for re-reads. You can always slip ‘em in the bag loose - I promise I’ll still read it!) Keep ‘em coming, and don’t forget to add more Sally Adee mil-tech-geekery next time!
