IEEE Spectrum’s Sally Adee on CERN’s LHC

In case you missed the media hype - and the only way you could have missed that much hype is if you were paying attention to only the U.S. presidential race - the world might have ended last week.

Last July, Sally Adee - one of my favorite writers at the IEEE Spectrum - visited CERN and took a look at the Large Hadron Collider up close and personally. Here’s the “before” article on the IEEE site, and a video of her visit before it was sealed. This video answers the question, “What do I do with enough cable and wire to circle the Earth seven times?”
