Dr. Kiki Wants Your Help
If you’ve ever checked out popSiren on Revision3, you’ve probably seen the science bits done by Dr. Kiki. She is, incidentally, one of those folks I’d probably go all fangirl on if we ever met in person. Dr. Kiki is actually Dr. Kirsten “Kiki” Sanford, whose Ph.D. is in the field of neurophysiology, but she does a lot of work in science writing, the blogosphere, and some web media.
Yesterday, on her blog “The Bird’s Brain”, Dr. Kiki put out a call to women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and related fields to contribute to a new project of hers - a keynote address at a conference aimed to inspire 6th-8th grade girls to get more involved in these fields. Check out her post, and then answer her call!
