Cali Lewis & GeekBrief.TV Hit 400

A couple of days ago, a rare occurrence in the techverse caught my eye: a web-based vidcast hit a monster milestone.

I recently added GeekBrief.TV to my Miro playlist. (Yes, I know I’m a tad late to the party, and I’ve posted about GeekBrief.TV before, but kept missing updates.) I’m still trying to figure out how Cali Lewis can enunciate so well when she speaks so quickly, but I’m becoming a regular viewer. GeekBrief.TV is damned awesome, truly informative, and worth watching. This isn’t the same regurgitated hype that you’ll see on some news briefs. This is cutting edge stuff.

According to that treasure trove of minutiae, Wikipedia, GeekBrief.TV kicked off three and half years ago in December of 2005 with Cali Lewis onscreen and her husband Neal Campbell behind-the-scenes. Think about that for a second: how many vidcasts are you watching and how long have they been available? (Ok, Diggnation, but that’s beside the point.) How many of them feature a smart, tech-savvy woman giving you what for? And how many of them have been cranking out consistent, quality content for *years*? In Internet Time, GeekBrief.TV now has its own driver’s license.

Four-hundred-plus geek briefs later, Lewis and Campbell are still kicking out reviews of killer tech, shiny new apps, and general geekery, all in bite-size morsels that are easily digested. Not only that, but Lewis’ delivery makes me want to stop looking at another screen and actually pay attention to what she’s got to say. This isn’t background noise or hash browns on the side - this is bacon. :-)

If you haven’t had a chance to check out GeekBrief.TV, take a moment to go watch the 400th brief. If you’re already a loyal viewer, make sure to drop Cali & company an email and let them know how much you dig their work.

Cali and Neal! Congratulations! Keep ‘em coming…

UPDATE: just read Neal Campbell’s view of the brief numbered 400, and have decided that I’m perhaps less pedantic than I previously thought.  (Some Virgo I turned out to be.) Possible inaccuracies aside, congratulations for keeping a quality product on the wires (and !wires).
