Why Aren’t You Watching “Epic Fu”?
Whilst cruising the Revision3 site for new and exciting vid content to distract me from my work (one must do *something* while waiting for ikiwiki to recompile), I came across a promo for Epic Fu, one of the bright and shiny media onslaughts available for download.
Epic Fu is “your guide to what the web is buzzing about” which is about as new as toothpaste, since *every* new show on the web is about new buzz of some sort, but this is actually entertaining and Zadi Diaz isn’t your typical vidcast host. I’m trolling through back episodes, which is fairly easy to do since the show has only been broadcasting in its current iteration (it used to be “JETSET”) for a couple of months. Why watch? The production is great, which is what you’d expect from Revision3, but I like Zadi’s delivery. Norton and Belmont of Tekzilla still come across as a little forced to me (maybe they’re still getting used to each other), but Zadi really grabs my attention, even if the particular item she’s chatting about isn’t interesting to me. She’s the reason I keep watching, whereas Tekzilla’s tech content is sometimes the only thing that keeps me from clicking “stop”.
