Where Are The Women In Programming? Found ‘Em!
Things have been a tad light in the programming department the last few weeks, but I’ve been keeping my eyes open for you code hackers!
Someone somewhere showed me this link, and I’ve just got to share it. How would you like to take a look at a lengthy compilation of women programmers over the last century?
Perfect for research, or simply for inspiration, this list will certainly show you something you didn’t know about the long history of women in computer science. Don’t miss the “Other Sites” section, which includes links to biographies of women in tech, and the enviable “Organizations” section. Perusing all this information could fill a weekend.
In other list news, TechCult recently listed their Top 100 Web Celebrities, twelve of whom are women (though I really, *really* don’t get the whole Tila Tequila thing). Nevertheless, it’s an interesting list to read, so take a peek.
