OSCON Expo Hall: First Report From The Floor
Folks, I had a *great* time in the OSCON Expo Hall over the last two days. Not only did I meet some fantastic people, but I also thought the atmosphere was very positive and friendly, even when folks were sleep deprived and hungry. (Hey, there’s * alot* going on at OSCON.)
This will be the first of a couple of posts about my OSCON Expo experience. First and foremost, I want to thank the women of the O’Reilly booth. They were great, and rocked the “tweets + OSCON = swag” combination. Between the women running the booth, and the women doing the blogging on their website, I think it’s safe to say that O’Reilly is ruled by women doing a great job! And despite the fact that they were busy working their asses off, they took a moment to pose for a pic for me. (I do apologize for the photo quality.)
Before I forget, let me tell you that the very best swag to be found was at the Concrete5 booth. I somehow missed them while I was walking around because I wasn’t familiar with their product, but someone poked me in the ribs and told me to check out their booth. Off I went, and here’s the cool swag Kate Welch gave me when I got there. How sweet is this?
More from me after I get caught up on work and rest!
