Geekspace for Women

Whilst wandering the local record store yesterday searching for more music by which to perform geekery, I came across an old Alison Moyet disc. Thinking to myself, “Whatever happened to her?”, I bought the disc.

Well, friends, the interwebs were made to answer these sorts of gripping questions!

Expecting to find that she’d left the music business altogether to start her own fabric company (seems to be all the rage, but what do I know), I was surprised to find that (1) she’s releasing her seventh solo studio album this summer, and (2) she and Vince Clark, as Yazoo, are on frickin’ tour. On tour!

“The Turn” will be released in just a few weeks on July 8th in the US, the same day as a new Yaz boxset (!) and Yazoo is already playing in Europe, though they’re headed for the US as well.

The only info I could find that’s updated often is this forum, so check it out. I’ll update more on Moyet once I have my little hands on “The Turn”.
