The latest newsletter from the IEEE-WIE is out and available for download.

Things to excuse: the Tesla is old news, and for some reason the layout of this issue is really screwy. Could be the new editor is still getting a handle on things.

Things to check out: the “Marketplace of Ideas” section has some interesting tidbits, including a blurb about the “Top 5 Reasons It Sucks To Be An Engineering Student” article that made the rounds earlier this year. Also, the “What’s New In IEEE Computing” and “Engineer Girl” sections have bits worth looking at, and don’t miss the link to the “Powering the Electrical Revolution: Women and Technolgy” reference which I think is referring folks back to the www.ieee.org/women page. I’ll track down more info on that and get back to you.

All this information totals up to one more reason to check out the IEEE, and if you’re already a member, consider joining this society. I suppose that’s enough propoganda for now.
