Farscape Returns…In Comic Form

While the word came out earlier this year that Farscape will be revived (again), this time in webisode form, it seems that we might see a new comics series first.

Over at the official Henson site, there’s a brief blurb about the comics that will be released later this year (no date mentioned). I’ve never read anything from Boom! Studios, but at first glance it looks like these guys have made quite the living with horror comics. (Feel free to write me and correct my assumption if I’m mistaken.) It will be interesting to see what they do with Crichton and company. Here’s hoping the comics are as good as the stuff coming out of Dark Horse.

I guess we Scapers have *something* to read besides fanfic until the webisodes are released. More news as it happens.

Interesting sidenote: I keep meaning to pick up a copy of Stolen Life, a machinima DVD with tons of robots and featuring voice work by one Claudia Black. Unfortunately, the original nanoflix.net links aren’t working. If anyone has already seen this, or knows where I can get my hands on the DVD, please drop me a line.

I’m afraid you won’t be able to get your hands on “Stolen Life” DVD anymore… And the reason that the nanoflix.net website doesn’t exist is extremely sad one - Peter Rasmussen, “Stolen Life” writer and producer, and the website’s author, died at the beginning of March this year :( - if you go to my LJ - http://kalliope_pl.livejournal.com - you can read about it there in one of my April entries.
I’m going to e-mail Jackie Turnure (”Stolen Life” voice director and co-producer) with the question about “Stolen Life” future now that Peter is dead. It would be great if “Stolen Life” was re-released with some tributes to Peter, I’m the lucky one to have the DVD.
