Calling all women who are or want to be engineers or other technically-focused fields: you might want to take a look at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). While it is a networking organization of sorts, it also provides scholarship and discount conference attendance information - great for those still in school or pursuing research - as well as worldwide news about women in these fields.
Why join SWE? Here’s what they have to say: “When you join SWE you’re joining more than an organization—you’re joining a movement toward equality and opportunity for women in engineering.”
This month is their big renewal drive, but of course, they’re always looking for new members. They’ve also just revamped their entire site, so if you’ve heard of SWE but haven’t checked them out in awhile, there may quite a bit more info to read.
