New “Dollhouse” Promo Video
Before I go all fangirl about this, let me say that I find parts of this short promotional trailer unsettling. If this turns into some kind of “La Femme Nikita”, hot-chick-gets-repeatedly-screwed-over kinda show, then I’m going to be seriously irked.
Truth is, though, that I can’t picture Eliza Dushku starring in something that simplistic, and I certainly can’t imagine Joss Whedon working his ass off on a project that is drivel. So, I’m going to assume this is poorly edited to attract the geek boy fan base.
Here’s the good news: check out the cast! Not just Dushku, who is fun to watch, but Tahmoh Penikett from Battlestar Galactica is making the move south! (He’s Canadian, and most of his work, including BSG, has been filmed or produced in his country.)
As for when this might actually be broadcast, rumors abound. Maybe fall, maybe mid-season. (Sigh. Fox really sucks sometimes. Last year, they bumped back “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” to January 2008 after teasing folks for months about a fall 2007 premiere.) Until then, updates occasionally make their way to the Dollverse.
