Sometimes, when one is madly hacking in one’s Lair, electronica is the only thing that will help thoughts flow through fingers and keyboard to screen. Unfortunately, the latest NIN download ("The Slip" for freakin’ freeeee , people) isn’t all-purpose when one is all happy and joyful.
Enter the Blow.
A good friend/sister-in-law (thanks, Molly!) turned me on to their disc, "Paper Television". This is one that gets under your skin. Frankly, after hearing only 30 seconds of "True Affection", the riff was stuck in my head for *days*. And this was before I found out that song made an appearance at iTunes as "Single of the Week" a long while back. Guess I’m not the only one who thinks it’s catchy as hell, but I’m a little slow getting on this particular train.
